Operational savings and benefits of plastic and stainless steel food service equipment

Greater factory efficiency, lower operating costs

IFT equipment optimizes logistics flows, reduces waste, and lasts longer than wood, steel, or aluminum—a high-yield industrial investment.

Productivity and economies of scale: buying directly from the manufacturer

Direct management of the supply chain—covering raw materials and in-house molding—allows us to eliminate third-party supplier markups, positioning IFT to offer a highly competitive price-to-quality ratio. Buying from a direct manufacturer means investing in top-tier industrial equipment at optimized factory prices.

Longevity and reduction of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)

The exclusive use of certified virgin granules and expert-grade stainless steel welding ensures superior structural strength. IFT equipment does not warp or flake, and it withstands high-temperature washing and chemical agents. Choosing IFT means eliminating the need for frequent replacements and slashing long-term operating costs.

IFT equipment overcomes the traditional limitations of wood, steel, and aluminum: offering greater hygiene, increased durability, and reduced maintenance. Our injection molding technology and stainless steel integration provide real-world solutions for key sectors of the food industry.

Dairy sector: cheese ripening boards and racks

  • Perforated/slatted PP boards vs. wood: suitable for IFS and BRC certifications [to be confirmed with the client]. Quick and easy to sanitize and dry; they have a much longer service life. The special surface perforation allows the cheese to breathe, improving the aging process and drastically reducing the number of times the cheese needs to be turned, thereby cutting labor costs.
  • Stackable PP grids vs. steel: PP is not a thermal conductor, so it eliminates thermal stress on the cheese. Our grid is injection-molded as a single, robust, and inseparable unit. Steel grids made of electrowelded rods tend to come apart at the welds and warp over time, making stacking difficult; our PP grids remain in perfect condition and safe to use over the long term.

Pasta sector: plastic drying trays—indestructible and safe.

  • Compared to wood: our PP drying frames are IFS and BRC compliant [to be confirmed with the client], do not shed splinters, are quick to sanitize, and last for years.
  • Compared to aluminum: standard aluminum frames consist of 8 tubular sections and 8 plastic corner caps (critical points for breakage and dirt accumulation). The IFT frame is molded in just two pieces, making it more hygienic and durable. Furthermore, PP does not get hot when exiting the drying ovens, thereby improving operator safety.

Meat sector: plastic meat racks

  • Compared to traditional stainless steel alternatives, our plastic racks are smaller, lighter, more cost-effective, and significantly faster to sanitize at the end of a shift.
